Artist
With an Undergraduate degree in Fine Art from The Art Institute of Chicago and a Masters Degree in Fine Art from The University of Kentucky, my work was exhibited extensively from the 1960’s through 1980. I have returned to my roots and am currently working on a series of sculptural projects exploring the various formal relationships possible within an historically dynamic image:
THE OBELISK.
It has been described through the ages as embodying a variety of
socio/political and religious attributes, as well as the symbolic relationship between Sun and Earth. These forms are arrived at through planear elements combined with delineated space and shadow, rather than mass, while still retaining a reference to the original icon and its environmental connection.
